HISTORY

A passion for this line of work is most certainly what makes the BIANCHI family stand out; together they make up a team which is as fertile as the traditions and innovations of the land which they hail from.
This brochure aims to provide a brief summary with texts and photographs of the story traced by this family in the dairy and agriculture sector in the province of Parma, and more specifically, of one of the companies which came about and then developed in the part of the city in which all the other companies in the sector used to have their headquarters, Via Trento.
Under the direction of Guido Bianchi, Biemme srl was born in 1971 as the natural progression from a partnership to a joint stock company. For the true roots of the company, however, we should go back almost one century in time to the Twenties, in particular to 1918. It was then that a young Alberto Bianchi, father of Guido (aged just thirteen), found work as a messenger boy with Bozzetti & Ozzola a company dedicated to the maturing and commercialising of Parmigiano Reggiano in Via Trento. As was often the way in those days, he started out under his own steam (today we would say "he began his professional growth"), and in 1922 he was taken on as a salesman at Giovine & Ulrici. A few years later, he was to be made a partner on taking over the share of Mr. Giovine in the newly-formed Bianchi & Bordi.

Alberto immediately displayed a great deal of aptitude, and alternated experiences in all the phases which make up the sector, paying particular attention to sales in Italy and abroad.

Alberto immediately displayed a great deal of aptitude, and alternated experiences in all the phases which make up the sector, paying particular attention to sales in Italy and abroad.
From this moment the company expanded and developed following ideals based on a steely respect for personal and professional values, distributing Parmigiano Reggiano, a product of high quality and great cultural content.

In 1971, still under the management of Guido, assisted by his brother Camillo, the company changed name and became Biemme srl and began specialising in export.
In 2000, Camillo retired, and Guido's five children took over. Whilst he remained a fundamental reference point, Guido recognised the importance of investing in the new blood in order to guarantee the success of the company. Biemme Expo srl had, for both Bianchi and all the "stakeholders", become an institution which represented excellence from the point of view of professional, company and cultural values. Guido's five children assumed a role of primary importance; in particular Alberto, his right-hand-man in the areas of business, commissions and organisation.
